Our Story

Where It All Began

We laid the foundation for Hotel Sri Balaji Ariyas based on a simple idea-to offer travellers a tasty, hygienic and comfortable dining option. This guiding principle grew into a strong concept: providing the comfort of good food and rest in tiresome journeys.

Why highways?

Our founder’s frequent travels from Salem to Chennai made them realize the lack of good dining options for bus travelers on the highways. And thus, our first restaurant outlet at Parikal, on the Chennai-Trichy highway, was born. With ample parking space for cars and buses, 24-hour refreshments, and clean & free restrooms for customers, we soon gained popularity among road-trippers. We were the first to introduce hygienic restrooms at no charge for Bus travelers. A milestone incident from our early days is our service for The Tamil Nadu Transport Ministry; we hosted up to 360 State buses per day, for a week at the time.

We provide clean rest rooms, ample parking space and delicious vegetarian meal options even at locations in the middle of nowhere! Authentic snacks from each district of Tamil Nadu is proudly displayed here for travellers’ indulgence.

Features

On the road journey to growth!

In 2021, we launched our second highway branch at Kayathar. With seating capacity for over 150 diners and our signature amenities with the addition of A/C and Non A/C dining halls, a play area for children and over 100 varieties of snacks options.

During a visit to Thiruchendur Murgan Temple, our founders were hit with déjà vu on their search for a good, hygienic restaurant amidst the bustling crowd. That’s how Hotel Sri Balaji Ariyas got it’s first branch in the city in 2022.

However, highways are our first homes. Our latest unit launched at Vappur, with all our signature amenities, and there’s many more to come!
